Fantastic resort providing a fulsome experience of high-level comfort, breathtaking views and superb food. Each morning waking up to the sun rising across the valley was magical. The gardens are glorious, full of trees and vines heavy with fruit and perfume. Deke and Minjur are wonderful hosts who know the area, Bhutanese history and pretty much everyone in Bhutan. We will be back, next time spending longer, taking more time to enjoy the luxurious accommodation and restful ambience.

Best stay in eastern Bhutan Hands down the best place to stay in eastern Bhutan. During my 5 night stay, it was nice to be able to make day trips to many places in the east (Merak, Sektang, and Trashiyangste) and be able to come home to a comfortable bed each night. My suite was spacious and comfortable and the staff were helpful and always kind. The food was traditional Bhutanese food - and it was always superb. The landscaping surrounding the lodge is incredible and full of wildlife. Minjur Dorji and his wife, Deki, were gracious hosts and provided insight into tourism in the east and sites "not to be missed." Don't be afraid to get off the beaten path and travel in eastern Bhutan - and if you do - make sure Lingkhar Lodge is the place you stay!
